Matt is a landscape architect with a passion for recreating landscapes after mining, which allows him to make a positive impact on the world.
In order to focus on mine closure and landform design, Matt started VAST together with Frida Holst, a fellow landscape architect.
Through VAST he is helping companies such as LKAB recreate their landscape and in the process achieving their closure goals.

Senior Environmental Specialist

Susanne is senior environmental specialist at Talga Group; a vertically integrated innovation materials company. She has a PhD in applied geology. She has worked in many projects related to mine waste and mine closure with a focus on trace metal transport, environmental monitoring and remediation measures. Susanne lives and works in Luleå, Sweden.

Technical director at Tailings Consultants Scandinavia AB and Chair at ICOLD Technical Committee L. Annika has 30 years of experience in tailings management. As a senior geotechnical tailings engineer she works with design, construction, operation, long-term stability and closure of tailings dams mainly in Sweden. She has since 2001 been a leading author of ICOLD Bulletins including; #139 “Improving Tailings Dam Safety – Critical Aspects of Management, Design, Operation and Clsoure”, #153 “Sustainable Design and Post-Closure Performance of Tailings Dams”, #181 “Tailings Dam Design – Technology update” and #194 “Tailings Dams Safety”.
