Hotel Accommodation
Room blocks for Mine Closure participants have been reserved at the following hotels to ensure availability. Pre-booked rooms can only be reserved during registration and not directly with the hotel. A full Swedish breakfast buffet and Wi-Fi are included. All hotels below are within a 5-minute walking distance from the conference venue, Kulturens Hus.

Clarion Hotel Sense
This newly opened hotel is located in the very center of Luleå and features unique photo art, seasonally inspired designs and free access to the on-site fitness center. Luleå Central Station is 10 minutes away. Clarion Hotel Sense’s guest rooms all have flat-screen TV, a desk, mini-bar and free WiFi. Each room also features unique photo art and designer furniture. Superior Rooms feature lake views and other rooms have city or courtyard views. The on-site á la carte restaurant Nine is open for dinner Monday to Saturday. There are also 2 hotel bars, of which one features spectacular views over the city. Luleå Airport is 10 minutes’ drive away.

Quality Hotel Luleå
Located on Luleå’s main street, Storgatan, this hotel is just 328 feet from the waterfront promenade. It offers free sauna access, regional cuisine and a popular organic breakfast buffet. Quality Hotel Luleå’s en-suite guest rooms feature a work desk and cable TV. Free WiFi internet access is available. One bar is available, Invit. Quality Luleå’s shop sells drinks and snacks. Guests arriving by car can make use of the secure heated indoor parking found on site. Luleå Culture Center and the neo-Gothic cathedral are within a few minutes’ walk, while Luleå Central Station is 2953 feet away. Staff is happy to provide tourist information and other services.

BW plus Hotel Savoy
Offering free spa and gym entrance and a modern restaurant and bar, this hotel is centrally located in Luleå, just 984 feet from Luleå Central Station. The spa includes 2 hot tubs, a steam sauna, a traditional sauna and an ice shower. Guests can also book treatments such as massages and facials. Each room features a flat-screen satellite TV, mini-bar and seating area. The bathroom includes a shower and hairdryer. The restaurant offers a varied á la carte menu based on local Swedish cuisine, open Monday to Saturday. A rich lunch buffet is also served on weekdays. The lobby café is open 24-hours and offers light dishes and beverages. On Saturdays, Hotel Savoy hosts a nightclub as well as live music on occasions. The hotel is less than 1 mile from Coop Arena and 1312 feet from the cultural center Kulturens Hus. Kallax Airport is 5.6 miles away.

Elite Stadshotell
Overlooking Stadsparken and the North Harbor, this hotel is located on Luleå’s main street, Storgatan. It offers free WiFi and gym access and a popular breakfast buffet. All rooms at Elite Stadshotellet Luleå are individually decorated and include a mini-bar, a work desk and a flat-screen TV. The bathrooms feature Italian marble. A wide selection of different whiskeys and beers are available at the English-style Bishop Arms Pub. In addition to free gym entrance, guests are welcome to take part in group classes at discounted rates. Other facilities include rental bicycles. On Sundays, guests can enjoy breakfast until 12:00. Elite Stadshotellet Luleå provides easy access to local transport, with only 328 feet to the nearest bus stop. Luleå Central Station is less than 15 minutes’ walk away. The airport shuttle also stops 984 feet from the hotel.
